In order to import data in the CSV files then first you have to install the QuickBooks import Excel and CSV toolkit. The downloaded toolkit contains the following items.
Manual for importing from Excel and CSV: The manual is going to be PDF format with instructions for import, keynotes, and other best practices that can assist you.
CSV Examples Folder: In this folder, you’ll get 4 sample CSV files, one for each type of list.
XLS Example Folder: This folder contains a sample Excel file that includes 4 worksheets within, one for each type of list.
Allowed fields: This is a manual that explains what fields are available for Excel and CSV import.
Follow the steps to install the QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV Toolkit
First, download QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV Toolkit file from the official Intuit QuickBooks POS Hosting website. Save it on your computer.
It is recommended to save the file on your computer’s desktop page.
After that, you need to extract the file. For this, double-click on the QuickBooks_Import_Excel_and_CSV_toolkit.exe on your Windows desktop. By doing this, the WinZip File extractor window will open.
In the next window, click on the Browse button and then select a location on your computer where you want to install the program and then select OK.
After that, you need to extract the files, for this click on the Unzip button, and when the files are extracted completely click on the Close button to close the WinZip Self-Extractor window.
At last, you need to open the QuickBooks Import Excel and CSV Toolkit folder. You can find it at the location you selected in step 4.
